Great Working Minds is a partnership between Great Kids Make Great Communities, Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana, and the 2020-2021 cohort of Leadership Fort Wayne’s Community Action Team. The toolbox is designed to provide organizational leaders with the information they need to address Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) that affect their workforce. The information provided includes resources for employer workshops, as well as information to assist their employees with their personal and familial needs.

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES)

Adverse childhood experiences, or ACEs, are potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood (0-17 years). ACEs are linked to chronic health problems, mental illness, and substance use problems in adulthood. ACEs can also negatively impact education, job opportunities, and earning potential. However, ACEs can be prevented. (CDC.GOV)

For more information on ACEs, please visit the CDC’s website.
