Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana (MHANI) has been awarded a grant in the amount of $1,800 by The Journal Gazette Foundation. The funds from this grant will be used to support Cedars Hope, MHANI’s supportive housing program for women with mental illness.

Cedars Hope can currently house 15 women who have a severe, chronic mental illness and are at risk of being homeless. The women living at Cedars Hope would very likely be homeless without the kind of permanent, supportive housing offered there.  In addition to having a home, the residents learn to be productive and independent while living at Cedars Hope, with the hope that one day they will be able to live on their own again.
