Meet the Facilitator!

“When I was a child, I remember watching my mom go through periods of depression and struggling to connect with others because of it. As a teenager, I began to experience my own struggles with depression. I was lucky enough to have supportive family and friends who were willing to discuss mental health and provide nonjudgmental support.

My professional mental health journey began when I was working in schools with children and teens, encountering many kids who expressed feelings of confusion, sadness, and fear regarding their mental health. I completed my master’s degree in counseling receiving both my school counseling license and mental health counseling associate license. It is my mission to share what I’ve learned from both my own personal struggle and my professional experience to help reduce isolation and stigma surrounding depression, anxiety, and other mental illness.
