Become a volunteer. Change a life.

Our Ongoing Volunteer Needs:

  • Guardianship Advocates: Volunteer advocates visit with guardianship clients in their home to offer companionship and friendship, and to advocate on the client’s behalf. Advocates must be at least 21 years old and have life or work experience with older or disabled individuals. Typical visits are approximately one (1) hour each, and occur twice a month. Hours are flexible and can include evenings and weekends. Volunteers must be able to dedicate at least 2-4 hours per month.

  • Board of Directors: The primary purpose of the Board of Directors is to oversee the organization at the highest levels of governance, finance, and operations. The Board of Directors is a diverse group of individuals that play a key role in ensuring that Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana meets strategic goals. Our board meets once per month. Volunteers must be able to dedicate 1-2 hours per month.

Volunteer with us to make a difference!

Background and reference checks will be completed for all volunteers prior to assignment. This is to ensure the safety of our clients and volunteers.
