The stigma surrounding mental health is a barrier for those that are struggling. This training offers participants an opportunity to build their awareness around the topic of mental health stigma by identifying common misperceptions about mental illness,  looking at the impact of stigma on the community, and identifying ways to reduce stigma and discrimination. Through education, community participation, and personal testimony we will discuss the how and why stigma keeps individuals from reaching out for professional mental health support.
