Tara Holliday On Board as New Executive Director of Mental Health Nonprofit

Fort Wayne, IN – January 4, 2022 – Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana is pleased to begin the new year with an announcement that the mental health nonprofit has selected a new Executive Director

Tara Holliday joins the mental health education and advocacy nonprofit following a 15-year stint in increasingly responsible roles with Life Community Church in Wells County, culminating in a position as Operations Director for the past 5 years. Holliday impressed MHANI’s Search Committee with her exemplary track record concerning team building, community engagement, developing strong work cultures and effective teams, and leading empathetically through periods of great change.

“I am thrilled to join Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana as its next Executive Director,” Holliday commented. “This organization does incredibly meaningful work in the community and I look forward to advancing its impact. I have always had a natural passion for helping people flourish and have been intimately privy to those suffering from mental health challenges. My goal is aligned with MHANI’s goal: to work together to promote awareness of mental health challenges, promote recovery, and foster wellness.”

The decision to hire Holliday came after an exhaustive and comprehensive search focused on local talent. This search followed the resignation of previous Executive Director Lisa Smith in May 2021.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to warmly welcome Tara Holliday as the new leader of Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana,” said Carol Helton, Board President. “Over the past two years, we have seen great changes in how people think about their mental health. The educational and advocacy services that our organization provides are needed more than ever. We are all eager to see where Tara’s fresh perspective and strong leadership takes MHANI in the future.”

Holliday will begin her role as the Executive Director effective January 10, 2022.
